in 2011 Willy Sanjuan left his home country of Spain and moved to Mexico City during several years where he worked as a photojournalist for local entertainment photo agencies, attending exclusive events, shooting multitude of theatre plays, music performances and live concerts. When he moved to the US in 2016 Willy started as an entertainment contributor photographer for the Associated Press, the biggest news agency in the world. During all these years, including the pandemic the celebrity photos taken by Willy Sanjuan have been published in all types of media worldwide. The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, El Pais, Vanity Fair, Hollywood Reporter, you name it. This and other photos have also been broadcasted on numerous TV networks such as CBS, Fox, ABC and much more. Hundreds of exclusive events, red carpets, movie premieres, TV shows and award ceremonies. But where Willy found his bread and butter was photographing people. He started with the most challenging category of all, celebrities, always against the clock, sometimes with just a couple of minutes to take the best editorial portrait, setting up the studio, snap, breaking it down, repeat.
